ABOUT THE COURSE
Galileo's Classroom presents an intermediate level American Sign Language course from Instructors Jamie Perlowitz and Jen Civitarese for students in grades 5-9.
AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE
This course will expand upon conversational vocabulary, basic grammar, and the tenants of American Sign Language. You’ll have the opportunity to further express yourself by learning how to describe every day objects and people, counting and fingerspelling skills, and the use of classifiers and their importance in ASL. This course is great for someone who wants to develop upon their ASL skills and have a great time learning!
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS:
Jamie has been a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for the last 8 years in New Jersey. She graduated from The College of New Jersey with a Master of the Arts in teaching and Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. Jamie loves how expressive and beautiful American Sign Language is and loves teaching others new things; she looks forward to sharing the beauty of ASL with others.
We will meet in the ADP Center, which is in University Hall on the Montclair State University campus.
