ABOUT THE COURSE

Galileo's Classroom presents an Astrophysics course from Instructor Joshua Thompson for students in grades 4-7.

ASTROPHYSICS

(4th-7th grade)

We will take a tour to the moons of Jupiter, and explore the possibility of life on distant worlds. Travel through the expanse of the universe and discover just how much SPACE there is in space. We will learn how modern day scientists are pushing the limits of space exploration today.  There will be new material to traverse and engage in for students who have taken astrophysics previously.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:

Joshua is a Physics major with a minor in Mathematics at Rutgers University. He is in his second year of carbon isotope research with a focus on laser-based detection. Joshua has been teaching STEM education for almost 4 years in the Montclair area. He strives to make physics intelligible and engaging to all ages.
