ABOUT THE COURSE

Galileo's Classroom presents an introductory Calculus course from Instructor Joshua Thompson for students in grades 3 - 7.

CALCULUS FOR KIDS

(3rd-7th grade)

Calculus has always been for high school students and beyond. However, this course is geared toward younger students who want a feel for what calculus is without the college degree. We will use examples from our everyday experience to understand why calculus is so great and how much fun math really is! We will discuss rates of change, such as how fast a Ferrari can go, and what is meant by speed.

The key in learning calculus is having great teachers to illuminate mind bending ideas.
